STEPS
Are you asking, “SO, NOW WHAT?”
If so, this page is for you.
So, now what?
Some people arrive here after reading my book. Others come after a conversation, a podcast episode, or a season of life that raised more questions than answers. However you got here, this page exists to offer clarity, not pressure—to help you think through what it looks like to take a meaningful next step toward faith, purpose, and honest reflection.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need the right words. You just need to be willing to keep moving forward—one decision, one conversation, one step at a time.
For some, the next step is spiritual—exploring or beginning a relationship with Jesus. For others, it’s learning how to reflect on their own story and share it in a way that helps someone else. Often, it’s both. This page is meant to meet you where you are and help you move forward with intention.
If you have questions, that’s expected and we’re here to help. Keep exploring the resources on this page or contact us and let us know how we can help get you the answers you’re seeking.
Decide—and Stay Decided
If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, pause long enough to name it:
This was a decision—not a feeling, not a moment, not an emotional high.
And it won’t be easy.
Following Jesus is not a path to comfort. It’s a path to truth, formation, and surrender. That decision will meet resistance—internally and externally. Old habits don’t disappear overnight. Questions will surface. Opposition will come. None of that means you chose wrong.
It means you chose honestly.
This decision moves beyond a single moment. It’s a process—one that unfolds over time, through discipline, community, and daily faithfulness. Staying decided matters just as much as deciding in the first place.
We’d love to hear about your decision! Contact us and let us know.
Practical Next Steps
Faith grows when it’s practiced, not just professed. Here are a few simple, essential steps to help you move forward with clarity and stability.
Tell someone what you’ve decided.
Faith was never meant to be private. Sharing your decision brings accountability, encouragement, and support. It doesn’t have to be dramatic—just honest.
Find a local church or community of believers.
Online resources can help, but they can’t replace embodied community. Look for a church or small group where people gather regularly, know one another, and are willing to walk alongside you. Faith grows best in proximity.
Begin a daily habit of Scripture and prayer.
Start small. Consistency matters more than volume. Read Scripture daily. Pray honestly. Ask questions. Listen. This isn’t about performance—it’s about relationship.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct you.
You don’t navigate this journey alone. Ask for wisdom. Ask for conviction when needed. Ask for clarity. And learn to recognize the difference between God’s leading and the noise of other voices.
Be thoughtful about your influences.
Not every teaching that sounds spiritual is trustworthy. Learn to test what you hear. Understand the difference between core Christian truth and secondary beliefs. Ask questions. Seek counsel. Don’t be afraid to slow down and learn.
Trusted Resources
As you grow, good resources matter. One site we consistently recommend is GotQuestions.org, which offers clear, Scripture-based answers to common questions about faith, theology, and Christian living.
No resource replaces Scripture or community—but the right tools can help you build discernment and confidence as you grow.
A Final Word
Following Jesus is not about arriving quickly.
It’s about walking faithfully.
Decide.
Stay decided.
And take the next right step.
