Privacy Policy
This website, rexalandavis.com, is operated by Rex Alan Davis ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to this policy.
Information you give us
We collect information only when you choose to share it with us:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, and message. This form is provided by our customer-relationship service, GoHighLevel (through cypress.solutions), which stores your submission so we can respond.
- Speaking request form. Your name, email address, phone number, organization, event details, and anything else you tell us about your event. This information is stored securely on our web server and delivered to us by email through Google Workspace.
- Email updates. If you check the box asking for updates and news, we may email you occasionally. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working properly.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are most popular. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information in a form that does not directly identify you. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
To keep spam out, the speaking request form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is filling in the form. Turnstile looks at information about your browser and device to do this, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Embedded content and outside links
Some pages include videos from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) and episodes from Apple Podcasts. When you play them, those services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies. The site also links to Amazon, Audible, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please review their policies when you visit them.
How we use your information
- To respond to your messages and speaking requests
- To plan and follow up on events
- To send updates and news, only if you asked for them
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To protect the site against spam, abuse, and security threats
How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this site and respond to you (such as our web host, Google Workspace, Google Analytics, Cloudflare, and GoHighLevel), and only as needed for them to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you and maintain our relationship, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information you have shared with us, or to stop sending you emails. To make a request, reach out through our Contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to stored form submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
